"Here is a video of the kids on Kimmi Island playing with their buvera balls and Rasta Ronnie playing soccer with Kato. We gave Kato the ball. As RR said even his wheelchair was crippled." Click on to watch the video.
Zuckerman's comments about the video: "Charles took me and the Buvera Ball team to Kimmi Island where he spent 14 years. We were giving out plastic balls to the children and brought a nike ball to play with ourselves and had a great barefoot pick up game. Rasta Ronni started playing with Kato a disabled twin. He has one good leg and one good arm. He was playing well even 1 touch eventually. When we saw him bouncing and dribbling the nike ball we decided to leave it there with him so he could keep himself busy and develop his skill. It was the only non buvera ball we gave out on that trip."

As a reponse to Jordan Osher's comment on facebook saying, "What are buvera balls?"
Michael Zuckerman replied,
"They are balls made of plastic bags - the Ugandan word for plastic bag is buvera - there is plastic everywhere so during the world cup we have launched a campaign to use plastic for something constructive. The area is very poor and kids love soccer and play with anything from a stone to an empty bottle of water. We are showing kids how to make then paying the maker 1000 shillings and giving them out to kids. Check out more about the project here - and feel free to donate if you want.
